Christchurch Airport was our port of entry into New Zealand on the second half of our Australia/New Zealand trip. It was only a layover as we were continuing on to Dunedin, but it was a very nice airport for a layover.
It turned out that the wing of the airport hosting turboprop flights didn’t require a security check, so we were able to spend the layover largely outside on the front lawn of the airport until just before our flight started boarding.
