Charlotte Douglas International Airport
Charlotte, North Carolina, United States
First visited 22 March 2009
Back in 2009, when I first started traveling for work, I had a couple trips to South Carolina that were reasonably close to CLT. We took the direct flight from Dayton (DAY), rented a car at CLT, and drove across the state line from there.
After those two trips, though, every single time through CLT has been a layover for me. At first, it was a hub for US airway, and it was my most-visited hub of theirs. By 2014, US Airways and American Airlines had begun their merger and I started having AA flights into CLT as well; in 2015, I flew my very last US Airways flight from CLT to DAY.
CLT now functions as an AA hub for me, often to cities along the U.S. east coast.
