Despite being a Delta hub, and the closest major hub of any airline to my home airport of Dayton (DAY), I haven’t flown through DTW too often. For quite a while, Delta was rarely our contracted airline for the cities I was visiting for work trips. When I did fly Delta more often, they still tended to send me through their mega-hub at Atlanta (ATL) far more often than they send me through DTW, and Delta has now dropped the DAY/DTW service altogether.
