In April of 2014, I had a trip where I spent a night in New York (flying into LaGuardia and out of JFK) before heading on to Boston; my layover on the way home was in Newark. Not only did this mean that my trip involved all three of the major New York City area airports, but due to high winds our flight out of EWR was cancelled, meaning we got to spend an additional night in NYC on the way home as well!
Other than that Boston trip, EWR was largely used as a layover for me to get to and from CHS when I was traveling to Charleston frequently in 2012–2013.
